Halloween Month – We love Octubre!!

Enjoy our pumpkin experiences. Our children love to feel new textures and explore with food! How heavy pumpkins were so we had some plastic samples to carry and also carved our own jack-0-lanter in Pantomima.

What about our kitty cats? We had Halloween face painting emulating cats with whiskies and miaowing. They pretended to be cats and also made cats puppets out of carton and pipes cleaners.

Our creatures hands were awesome and so much fun! Children had sensory activity with black paint as they enjoyed how they scary hands looked ready for Halloween.

Creatures Day! We had creepy eyebrows and hairy vests! We roared like scary creatures and scared our teachers with our black paws.

Hand-made masks for our children!! By using recycled materials children created silly monsters masks with happy faces. We added wooden sticks to make it easier to handle and took pictures as we saw each other dancing during circle time. Children get turns and learn more about expression and gestures.

Pantomima’s first Summer Camp has come to its end and our children have had so much fun with all our field trips, classes, and art projects that all our parents deserve to enjoy our pictures. Rumba Cubana Week

Music is all over the place at Pantomima and children enjoy to be exposed to new rythms and sounds. To keep exploring with music, children were introduced to “rumba cubana”. A generic term covering a variety of energetic Afro-Cuban dance. Let’s see how our friends made their own “conga” and pretended to play rumba with some music.

Little little little hands, working working working hard. Our children enjoy to create chains and bracelets , using dried pasta and string. Bigger kids model to our little ones and our babies try so hard as they receive more help from their teachers. Everybody is happy with the results and love the way it looked after painting them. Jazz Week

This month children were introduced to some Jazz by Putumayo Musical Collection. We had the chance to merge painting with music as children integrated paint with the creation of their own instruments. By creating notes with colors, creating colorful brass instruments and dancing along with our music we keep reinforcing that all types of arts are always related.

Therefore we spend most of our days outside by the park playing with water, and eating some refreshing tamarind ice-pops and watermelon.
